In a crossed breed, female, 3 years old pig carcass multiple widely disseminated white nodules were observed on the pleura and pulmonar parenchyma.The nodules measured between 0.5 and 2 cm in diameter and, when sectioned, looked similar to adipose tissue.

Macroscopically tuberculosis should be included in the differential diagnosis, particulalry if caseification was seen in the center of the lesions. Another option would be a neoplasia such as liposarcoma or mesothelioma.

In this case the histopathological study revealed a sarcomatous undifferentiated neoplastic proliferation so the cellular origin could not be determined. The presence of granulomatous lesions was ruled out.
