Pneumonia in a calf caused by Mycoplasma bovis
0We received samples from a 11-month-old carcass of a Asturiana de los Valles breed calf. The lung showed nodules from 0,5 cm to 2 cm in diameter, with caseous content at the cut surface, that were distributed craneo-ventrally in the apical and caudal lobes. Also, scant similar nodules showing similar appearance could be seen in the parietal pleura. (more…)

Diaphragmatic hernia of a liver lobe in a pig
0In a pig carcass a cylindrical mass was observed in the mediastinum measuring roughly 30x10cm, with a brownish color and a hard consistency. No lesions were noticed on the other viscera. Inspectors suspected of a neoplastic proliferation. (more…)
