World Brain Week 2019

From 11 to 15 March 2019, the Escolab program of the Barcelona City Council organizes a cycle of talks on the occasion of World Brain Week in different educational centers in Barcelona.

Scientists and scientists investigating different aspects of neurobiology will move to ESO, baccalaureate and vocational training centers to explain to the students the lines of research that are followed to deepen the knowledge of the brain and the senses to heal several Diseases such as schizophrenia, depression and Alzheimer’s among others. Researcher Enric Vidal, head of the PRIOCAT laboratory at the IRTA-CReSA Animal Health Research Center, will give a talk “Why cows become crazy? The riddle of prions”.

The activities are free, they are aimed at class groups and will have an approximate duration of one hour. Places are limited. Each educational center may request a maximum of 2 lectures.
