The seminar was carried out by Dr Enric Vidal, investigator in charge for the Spongiform Diseases Unit of CReSA, who had previously visited the country and established international relationships.

Subsequently, they visited the Veterinary School and the Institute for Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA) of the UAB.

Sungsik Lee, director of the GVS (Gyeonggi Veterinary Service), Francesc Xavier Abad (Person in charge of the BSL3 Laboratories NBS3 of  CReSA) and other GVS representative.

UAB opened a new office on Monday in the city of Seoul with the aim of strengthening its relationship with universities, research centres and other institutions located in South Korea. It is the first university in Spain to open an office in South Korea. The office will open the way for more exchanges between students and research and teaching staff from UAB and Korean universities, as well as promote more research collaborations and technology transfer with centres in South Korea, especially those dedicated to the fields of health and the environment, as well as the “bio” sector.
