34th Meeting of the European Society of Veterinary Pathology

The past 7 to 10 September 2016 in the city of Bologna, Italy, hosted the 32nd edition of the annual meeting of the European Society of Veterinary Pathology (ESVP) organized in parallel to the 27tn meeting of the European College of Veterinary Pathologists (ECVP).

Every year this event brings together international veterinary pathologists from different specialties with young pathologists in training. The current edition will focus on the following topics: vaccination strategies in emerging diseases, bacterial emerging diseases in swine, diagnostic protocols for infectious disease of pigs, neuropathology, assessment of renal biopsies, lymphoma and dermatology.

Representing IRTA-CReSA and UAB, Dr. Segalés will give a talk entitled "Emerging and re-emerging Infectious Diseases of swine" and will also present development of different animal models for the study of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome-coronavirus ( MERS-CoV) infection performed at the level 3 biocontainment unit of IRTA-CReSA.

Additionally IRTA-CReSA and UAB researchers, Drs. Natàlia Majó and Jorge Martínez will present a poster entitled "Feline pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis with multiorgan involvement".
