New doctoral thesis about the bovine tuberculosis in the herds

In mid-September, the PhD student of CReSA, Sintayehu Guta, read his doctoral thesis about the epidemiology of bovine tuberculosis.

Directed by the researchers Alberto Allepuz and Jordi Casal, Sintayehu Guta discovered that a large percentage of new infections are, in fact, a re-emergence of infections that had affected the farm. Besides, was discovered that farms with large area of pasture and with neighbors had a higher probability to suffer a persistent outbreak.
